Legions Imperialis

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis is a tabletop wargame for two or more players where players command massive armies of superhuman Space Marines and other forces in a civil war: 
 
Setting
The game is set in the Age of Darkness, when the Imperium of Mankind is in civil war. Players choose to side with either the Emperor or the Warmaster, Horus Lupercal. 
 
Gameplay
Players take turns moving or fighting with Detachments in alternating phases. The game is played over five turns, with each side fielding roughly 500 points of models. Players can choose to seize the initiative by winning a roll-off, or they can let their opponent make the first move. 
 
Units
Players can choose from a variety of units, including Legiones Astartes infantry, Solar Auxilia armor, and Titans. 
 
Scale
The game uses epic-scale miniatures that are smaller than those used in other Warhammer games, allowing players to field more units.
